Coming to APUS Commencement 2018? Don’t Forget to Download the App!

Are you and your family planning to attend Commencement 2018? Remember to use our free APUS University Events app, which contains all the information you’ll need to make the most of a memorable weekend!

What 2018 Commencement Information Is in the App?

The app has multiple features for your convenience, including:

• A schedule of all events, including the Service Event, the Welcome Reception, the Alumni Rally and both graduation ceremonies (undergraduate and graduate)
• An interactive map to help you find events at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center
• The appearance schedule for our mascots Jake and Valor
• Local restaurant options
• Area attractions worth visiting if you plan to stay longer

The app also has an Activity Stream, which is similar to a Facebook NewsFeed. You can ask questions, post images, and exchange messages with other students, university staff and faculty members.

Participate in the App Contest

We’re also holding a contest in the app! You can earn points for posting the following to the Activity Stream:

• Voting in a poll: One point
• Liking a post: Two points
• Commenting on a post: Three points
• Posting a message: Four points
• Posting a photo: Five points

On April 30, five APU finalists and five AMU finalists will be selected based on the points they have earned. Our social media team will pick two random winners who will be notified by email. The two winners will get to take over the AMU and APU Instagram accounts and provide people with a behind-the-scenes look at Commencement 2018.

Where to Get the App

The app is available from the App Store and Google Play. To download the app, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Attendify website on your smartphone.
2. Click on “Download on the App Store” or “Get it on Google Play,” depending upon the type of phone you have.
3. Download the “AMU and APU University Events” app.
4. Open the app and tap on “APUS 2018 Commencement.”
5. Tap “Join” and set up your personal profile.

The anticipation for Commencement 2018 is already building in the Activity Stream. Come and join the fun!
