Identifying the style of knife used to stab Linda Malcom can provide clues about both the crime and the killer.
In this episode, Jen and George talk to knife expert Jeff Schafer, who believes the murder weapon was likely a thin, single-bladed knife. Could the killer have grabbed a knife from Linda’s kitchen? Does this indicate the murder wasn’t premeditated?
During the discussion, Jeff shares greater insight into Linda’s wounds and why he believes she may have fought back with a weapon of her own. Also, hear his theory about the killer’s possible knowledge of Southeast Asian martial arts tactics. Even with that possible training, Jeff believes there’s a very good chance that the killer was injured in this dynamic fight.
