Wright has not yet been arrested.

  5. Another law enforcement officer has been shot and killed in the line of duty. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is [link url=”http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/03/19/louisiana-sheriffs-deputy-shot-killed-while-on-duty.html” title=”mourning the loss of Sgt. Shawn Anderson who was shot and killed”] during a rape investigation late Saturday night. According to reports, Anderson and another officer were conducting an investigation into a rape allegation inside a Classic Cuts salon in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana when [link url=”http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2017/03/east_baton_rouge_sheriffs_depu.html” title=”Anderson was shot after struggling with someone”]. An unnamed suspect was also injured during the incident. Anderson was a U.S. Army veteran who received several awards during his tenure with the Sheriff’s Department. Madagascar is seeking support from the international community after [link url=”http://www.nation.co.ke/news/africa/madagascar-declares-national-disaster-cyclone-enawo/1066-3851038-14un3nt/” title=”declaring a national disaster from Cyclone Enawo “], which hit the island last week and was the most powerful cyclone to impact the nation since 2012. At least 78 people have died, another 250 are injured, and 18 individuals are still missing. In Brevard County, Florida, [link url=”http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/03/20/deputy-fatally-shoots-armed-robbery-suspect-in-florida.html” title=”a man was shot and killed by a sheriff’s deputy”] after a call was made to 911 about an attempted robbery. Deputies spotted the alleged suspect around 8:00 p.m. just a short distance from the  attempted robbery location. The suspect allegedly had a firearm and [link url=”http://www.floridatoday.com/story/news/2017/03/19/deputy-involved-shooting-reported-cape-canaveral/99396440/” title=”confronted the deputies and one deputy fired at the individual”] because he believed his life was in danger.

The small city of Casimiro De Abreu, Brazil in the state of Rio de Janeiro is extremely concerned after the death of an individual, Watila Santos, 38, [link url=”http://www.foxnews.com/health/2017/03/18/small-brazil-city-on-edge-after-man-dies-from-yellow-fever.html” title=”confirmed to have died from yellow fever on March 11″]. Officials are investigating several other suspected cases of yellow fever, including four relatives of the victim who are 9 and 13-years-old. [link url=”http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/article139357703.html” title=”Authorities have set up tents in two locations”] within the area of concern to vaccinate residents against the disease, and at least 30,000 of the city’s approximate 42,000 people have already received the vaccine.

Authorities have gone at least six days without a credible tip regarding the [link url=”http://wavy.com/2017/03/20/school-documents-show-relationship-between-missing-tennessee-teen-teacher/” title=”abduction of Tennessee teen, Elizabeth Thomas”], a 16 year-old-student at Culleoka Unit School. Thomas was last seen in Columbia, Tennessee, a town about 45 miles south of Nashville, by a friend who dropped her off at a restaurant there on Monday, March 13. Police believe she [link url=”http://abcnews.go.com/US/teacher-planned-alleged-abduction-teen-advance-police/story?id=46238809″ title=”was taken by a former teacher from her school, Ted Cummins, 50″], who took out a $4,500 loan the day before the abduction occurred. Cummins, the suspected kidnapper, has been placed on the Tennessee’s most wanted list and is believed to have two handguns in his possession.

Kimberly Arsenault serves as an intern at the Cleveland/Bradley County Emergency Management Agency where she works on plan revisions and special projects.
