In this latest video in In Homeland Security’s vlog series, counterterrorism and counterintelligence expert Dr. Kathryn Lambert describes the goals associated with violent extremism and what is being done in America to stem the flow of domestic terror threats – including measures put in place by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
“Domestic extremists have caused at least one death in the United States each year for the past 15 years – totaling 225 fatalities in 85 incidents.”

About the Speaker
Dr. Kathryn Lambert spent 20 years with the FBI – most recently as a Special Agent Manager. Her background includes high-risk, complex, government and academic environments. Dr. Lambert is an expert in security, Middle East and Arab cultures, criminal investigations – as well as counterterrorism and counterintelligence matters. Dr. Lambert is currently an Associate Professor of Homeland Security Studies at American Military University.
