AMU Sponsors Upcoming Intel & National Security Summit

More than 1500 high-level government and industry professionals are expected to gather on Wednesday, September 4, for two days of discussions and plenary sessions on a wide range of intelligence and national security issues.

The sixth annual Intelligence and National Security Summit at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, is co-hosted by AFCEA International and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).

AMU has been a partner with INSA and AFCEA and involved in the Intel Summit for years.

Attendees Will Learn about AMU’s Two Doctoral Programs

The AMU Professional Development Center is a first-time sponsorship concept designed to assist attendees to stand out in the evolving field of intelligence and national security.

A doctoral admissions coach and applicant admissions team member will be on hand to answer questions from those interested in learning more about AMU’s Doctor of Strategic Intelligence and Doctor of Global Security programs and related graduate programs.

The Center will also feature two seven-minute flash sessions: Optimizing your LinkedIn Profile to Increase Exposure, led by Leia O’Connell, Certified Career Coach. Public Sector Outreach AVP and intelligence author Erik Kleinsmith will speak about the Intelligence Resume.

There will also be opportunities for one-on-one meetings with O’Connell and Kleinsmith.

They and others will participate in a series of discussions, panels and five plenaries focused on the needs of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

The summit concludes on Thursday afternoon, September 5, when leaders from the FBI, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), USCYBERCOM/NSA/CSS, and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) discuss “Strategic Threats and National Security Priorities” in the closing plenary moderated by David Ignatius of The Washington Post.
